To increase the number of certified minority and women owned businesses, New York City’s Department of Small Business Services ran a citywide multi-channel marketing and advertising campaign to promote its programs and services.
The ad campaign featured business owners whose businesses are MWBE Certified with the City of New York. Ads featuring Wendell Niles were placed in subway cars, at train platforms, on bus shelter
panels, buses and on the Staten Island Ferry. In addition, ads featuring Wendell Niles ran on radio, Pandora, and on the New York City Small Business Services website.
